A charity football match left loud mouth chef Gordon Ramsay in hospital after Teddy Sheringham came careering into him.
The Kitchen Nightmare’s star was stretchered off the pitch by medics with a painful back injury following the tackle gone wrong. Instead of apologising for the clumsy challenge, Teddy Sheringham slapped Gordon playfully round the face as he lay on the floor in pain. Nice.
Earlier today Gordon was allowed out of hospital, but is still obviously in pain:
“Thx 4 all the messages. Out of hospital after receiving amazing care from medics at ground & hospital. Bit sore but fine Gx”
Look, he left a kiss at the end and everything – he must be on some strong pain killers or something.
Anyway, despite Gordon’s injury – or perhaps in spite of – Soccer aid managed to raise a whopping £4million for UNICEF. Funds of almost £6.5million had also been raised prior to the match in ticket sales and donations.
The game was organised by Robbie Williams and saw a host of celebrities take part. His team won 3-1.
